Eshel - The Magazine Rest Prototype - 2016
The Eshel Magazine Rest is an iteration of an on-going experiment in the notions of primitivity and tactility in furniture design. In addition to this foundation, an exploration into the ethics of consumerism, particularly the use, waste and exploitation of materials gave the experiment dimension and brought the "crude primitivity" from concept into fruition. Inspired by the processes of artist and sculptor, Hanna Eshel, taking into account the raw nature of the materials for the enhancement of form in balance, or lack thereof.
Recycled copper pipe frame, cow hide sling.
